Getting Here
The London Oncology Clinic is based in Central London, in the world-famous Harley St. A Central London location is a mixed blessing. On the one hand it means excellent transport connections, whether by rail or air. On the other, it can seem daunting, with parking, traffic and congestion charging all potential discouragements for those travelling from further afield.
Parking for patients at the LOC
If you are driving yourself and wish to park on Harley Street or any of its surrounding streets, the area is full of parking spaces, but of course also full of zealous parking wardens. Although spaces fill up early in the day, if you have a little time to spare they do become regularly available.
The current rate is around £3 an hour. It is important to note that Westminster Council has done away with coin or credit card-fed meters in many of the local streets. Instead, in some places you can only pay via mobile phone once you have parked. You can pay for up to four hours of parking at a time.
For more information on how to register for this service, how to pay for parking via mobile phone, and which streets this system applies to, please vist:
Westminster City Council Website.
The first time you make a phone call to park, you will have to register on to the Westminster system. There are rather unhelpful instructions on the lamp-posts. This first call could take you around 10 minutes, and the process can be very frustrating. It’s simple once you know how, but they say that about most processes that drive you nuts, don’t they? (If you park on a subsequent occasion, and use the same mobile phone, it is much easier and quicker.)
If you are still experiencing difficulties, just ask one of our receptionists and we will do our best to assist you.
The current charge rate is around £3 an hour. The rate at nearby car parks is slightly more expensive, but at least there you won't have to worry about the paid-for time running out.
By Taxi
If you are taking a taxi, tell the driver to drop you off on the right hand side of Harley St just before the corner with Weymouth St. We are two doors from the corner.
By the Tube

The nearest London Underground stations are Regents Park (Bakerloo line), Baker Street (Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee and Metropolitan lines) and Great Portland Street (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines). Oxford Circus (Central, Victoria and Bakerloo lines) is a slightly longer walk away. The mainline termini of Euston, St Pancras and Kings Cross are a 5-to-7- minute taxi-ride away. From Victoria or Waterloo, allow 20 minutes in a cab.
